Sharp FS8018 gets TENAA approval with 6GB RAM, 128GB storage and a 2930mAh battery

Sharp has launched a dual camera smartphone that was named Sharp AQUOS S2 and also comes with other top-end features. This new smartphone company is all set to launch anew smartphone soon with top-end specifications but with a single rear camera and having a similar design like the Aquos S2 smartphone. A new Sharp device has received the TENAA approval in China today with the name Sharp FS8018 that comes with similar design on the front as the Aquos S2 and have a single camera on the rear side. This new device has a fingerprint scanner on the front panel below the display and the front camera is placed above the display. The listing of Sharp FS8018 at TENAA confirms that this new device will carry a 5.48-inch TFT full-HD+ display with 2040 × 1080 pixels resolution, 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection and is powered by an octa-core 2.2GHz processor that might be the same Octa Core Snapdragon 660 14nm Mobile Platform (Quad 2.2GHz Kryo 260 + Quad 1.8GHz Kryo 260 CPUs) with Adreno 512 GPU that is powering the Aquos S2 smartphone already. It comes with 4GB / 6GB RAM options with 64GB and 128GB inbuilt storage options. If that storage is not enough for you then this device also comes with up to 128GB of expandable storage via MicroSD card slot. It runs on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box.

It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and has a 20-megapixel front facing camera. It is backed up by a 2930mAh battery and comes with number of connectivitym options including 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C. It measures 142.7 × 73 × 7.8 mm and weights 140 grams. It comes with a fingerprint scanner on the front panel like the Aquos S2 smartphone. It comes with multiple color options including Black, Gold and Blue. It come with Hybrid Dual SIM option.

To recall, the Sharp Aquos S2 was launched in August with a 5.5-inch Full HD+ LCD display with 550 nits brightness, 135% sRGB color coverage, 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 1080 x 2040 pixels resolution. It is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 630 14nm Mobile Platform (Quad 2.2GHz Cortex A53 + Quad 1.8GHz Cortex A53 CPUs) with Adreno 508 GPU /  octa-core Snapdragon 660 14nm Mobile Platform (Quad 2.2GHz Kryo 260 + Quad 1.8GHz Kryo 260 CPUs) with Adreno 512 GPUs. It comes with 4GB of LPDDR4x  RAM with 64GB internal storage option and 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage with both supporting expandable storage up to 128GB with microSD card.

It come with Hybrid Dual SIM option and runs on the Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) OS out of the box. It features a dual camera on rear side with a 12-megapixel camera with f/1.75 aperture, 1.4um pixel size, dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF along with a secondary 8-megapixel camera. It also comes with a 8-megapixel front-facing camera with 1.4um pixel size, f/2.0 aperture. It has a 2930mAh battery and supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C and has a fingerprint sensor on the front panel. It measures 141.8 x 72.04 x 7.9mm and weights 140 grams.
