Huawei P10 (VTR-L29) gets FCC approval, 3100mAh battery confirmed

Huawei P10 at FCC?? Huawei will launch the new Huawei P series flagships at an official event on February 26th in Barcelona at the MWC 2017 event. We are around ten days away from the official unveiling of the upcoming “Huawei P” series flagships Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus and we now have the FCC approval for one of the upcoming Huawei flagships with a smaller display called Huawei P10.

FCC has just approved the Huawei P10 smartphone for the US and we can expect that this device will be available first in the United States. The Huawei has been certified by the FCC with model name VTR-L29 and we already know that the Huawei VTR series is the Huawei P series lineup from this listing, we now have some specifications for the device confirmed including the battery and connectivity options. One of the FCC approval documents confirms that the Huawei P10 will be backed up by a 3100mAh battery and will feature connectivity options including 4G LTE with VoLTE,  Bluetooth, WiFi IEEE 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, NFC and other options as well. The device comes with FDD-LTE 2600 (B7) / 1900 (B2) / 1700 (B4) / 850 (B5) / 800 (B26) / 700 (B12 / B17) MHz, TD-LTE 2600 (B38) / 2500 (B41 ) MHz, W-CDMA 1900 (II) / 1700 (IV) / 850 (V) MHz, 1900/850 MHz mobile networks. Other specifications of the device are currently a mystery and we have to wait for its TENAA approval to know more about the rest of the specifications.

Rumoured specifications of the Huawei P10 include a 5.2-inch QHD display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution with Huawei’s octa-core Kirin 960 processor under the hood that comes with an octa-core Mali G71 graphics processor. It will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage capacity variant and another variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage option.

Huawei will feature a 20-megapixel and a 12-megapixel dual rear Leica branded sensors and it will have an 8-megapixel facing camera as well. It will be powered by a 3100 mAh battery as we saw in its FCC filling. It will run on the It will run on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with Emotion UI 5.0 and will support hybrid Dual SIM. The Huawei P10 Plus will feature a 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED dual-curved display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution and will be powered by an octa-core Huawei Kirin 960 processor with Mali G71 GPU. It will have 6GB of RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB inbuilt storage variants with a microSD expandable memory slot with up to 256GB storage. It will run on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with Emotion UI 5.0 and will also have a Hybrid Dual SIM option.

It will feature a 20-megapixel and a 12-megapixel dual rear camera with Leica lenses, f/2.0 aperture, ring flash, Laser AF, OIS and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture. It will be backed up by a 3,650mAh battery with fast charging, but we still need confirmation for it and connectivity options available will be 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS and NFC. It will also have a fingerprint sensor and an iris scanner.
