Blackberry Aurora launched officially with 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 425 and a 3000mAh battery

Blackberry Aurora is here. Canadian Blackberry has launched several Android-powered smartphones in the past year and the company is now all set to launch a new Android smartphone called Blackberry Aurora that was recently spotted listed by an Indonesian retailer. The company has now officially launched the smartphone in Indonesia where it is priced at RP 34,99,000 (around $260) which is a good affordable price tag for this mid-range smartphone.

It will be available in Gold, Silver and Black colour options and the device will be available for pre-orders till March 12, 2017, in the country during which the customers can get a chance to win a special prize. There are no details available when this device will be available outside Indonesia.

The Blackberry Aurora was launched by the Blackberry partner BB Merah Putih in Indonesia and will be made in Indonesia smartphone from Blackberry. This phone is also the first Blackberry phone to come with dual-SIM support. The company also confirmed that the Blackberry Aurora will get all the future security updates and will also ensure that it will have a high level of security in every single layer.

The Blackberry Aurora features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor with Adreno 308 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage capacity and will also come with MicroSD card expandable storage up to 256GB. It will run on the Android 7.0 (Nougat) OS out of the box and will also support Dual SIMs.

The Blackberry Aurora will feature a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie lovers. It will be backed up by a 3000mAh all-day battery and we will have connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS with GLONASS. It measures 152 x 76.8 x 8.55mm and weighs 178 grams. Blackberry Aurora was previously spotted listed by Indonesian retailer Lazada with model number BBC100-1.

Blackberry recently launched the new Blackberry KeyOne smartphone at MWC 2017 which features a physical QWERTY keyboard below the 4.5-inch display. It comes with a 4.5-inch display, a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 14nm processor with 650MHz Adreno 506 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage capacity, MicroSD card expandable storage up to 2TB storage, a 4-row physical QWERTY backlit keyboard with capacitive touch, Android 7.1 (Nougat) OS.

It has a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3505mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, a fingerprint sensor is available on the space bar, a 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4 & 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / GLONASS, NFC and USB 3.1 Type-C.
