Sony Xperia XZ Premium pre-orders started in UK with early June availability

Sony’s new flagships in the Xperia X series including the Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XA1, Xperia XA1 Ultra and Xperia XZS were announced back at MWC 2017 event last month. There are no details available about the availability of these smartphones but rumors claims that these will be available in early June in a number of markets. Now, some UK retailers have listed the Sony Xperia XZ Premium smartphone on their online stores which includes the retailer Unlocked-mobiles, Clove UK and Amazon UK and the early June availability. The Unlocked-mobiles retailer has listed the device with the price tag £640 in Deepsea Black and Luminous Chrome color options, while its priced at £650 at Amazon and Clove and comes with Deepsea Black color option only.

The Sony Xperia XZ Premium was notably the only smartphone to launch with the latest Qualcomm offering the Snapdragon 835 SoC. This premium Sony flagship features a 5.5-inch 4K HDR TRILUMINOS Display with X-Reality, 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution, sRGB 138% and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU and has 4GB of RAM with 64GB inbuilt storage with MicroSD card expandable storage. It runs on the Android 7.0 (Nougat) and supports Dual-SIM.

It features a 19-megapixel rear camera with Exmos RS sensor, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 lens, Predictive capture, 5-axis stabilizatio, 4K video recording, 960fps slow-motion video and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera is available with 1/3″ Exmor RS sensor, 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens, 1080p video recording. It has DSEE HX, LDAC and Digital Noise Cancelling features as well. A 3230mAh Battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 backs up the device and connectivity options includes 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC and USB Type-C. A fingerprint sensor is placed on power button and also comes with water resistance with IP65/IP68 ratings. It measures 156 x 77 x 7.9 mm and weights 195 grams.

The Sony Xperia XZs was launched with the Snapdragon 820 processor while the other two devices Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra were launched with the Helio X20 processor from MediaTek. Apart from the Xperia XA1 that has 3GB RAM, the other three comes with 4GB of RAM. We don’t have any information currently when the other devices will be available for sale and what will be the pricing details of these devices.As the Xperia XZ Premium is listed by the UK retailers, we can now expect the remaining new Xperia devices will also be available soon at least in the United Kingdom.
