Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus AnTuTu listing reveals specifications, both to ship with new Over the Horizon ringtone
Samsung is just a few days away from launching its new Galaxy S series flagships rumored as Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus that will be launched in the Samsung Galaxy unpacked event scheduled for March 29th. We have seen both the device in leaks and rumors in the past and now we have some more details on the specifications of the devices with the AnTuTu listings of both. The Galaxy S8 is listed with model numbers SM-G9500 and SM-G950F while the Galaxy S8 Plus is listed with model numbers SM-G955F and SM-G955U with Snapdragon and Exynos processor options. The company also announced that it has partnered with the Grammy Award-winning artist Jacob Collier to compose a new “Over the Horizon” ringtone for its upcoming Galaxy S8 Duo. The Galaxy S8 with model number SM-G9500 is listed at AnTuTu with a full HD display having 1080×1920 pixels resolution and is powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor with the Adreno 540 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage capacity. It runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box and it comes with a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. No other details are listed in the benchmark for this model. The second model number SM-G950F comes with same specs like the Sm-G9500 is having with only a single difference of a Exynos 8895 processor having Mali-G71 GPU.

The Galaxy S8 Plus with model number SM-G955F is listed at AnTuTu with a full-HD display having 1080 x 2220 pixel resolution and is powered by a Exynos 8895 processor with Mali-G71 GPU. It again comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage capacity. It runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box and features a 12-megapixel rear LED flash camera and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. No other details are available in the benchmark database. The second Galaxy S8 Plus model number SM-G955U have same specifications like the SM-G955F but has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU instead of a Exynos processor.

According to the past rumors, the Galaxy S8 will be priced at €799 (around $859) and the S8 Plus is expected to be priced at €899 (around $966). The Galaxy S8 specifications includes a 5.8-inch Quad HD+ curved Super AMOLED display with pressure sensitive feature along with 2560×1440 pixels resolution. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or an octa-core Samsung Exynos 9 Series 8895 processor. It will have 4GB of RAM with 64GB internal storage capacity with MicroSD card expandable storage. It will run on the Android 7.0 (Nougat) OS and will come with Hybrid Dual-SIM support.

It will feature a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel rear camera with LED flash and f/1.7 aperture along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.7 aperture. It will be backed up by a 3000mAh battery with fast Charging via wired and wireless (WPC and PMA) charging options and we will have 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS with GLONASS, USB 2.0 and NFC connectivity options. A 3.5mm headphone jack is expected and there will be a heart rate sensor, fingerprint sensor available on the rear side with Iris scanner and Barometer. The Galaxy S8 will be IP68 verified with water and dust resistance feature.

It will also feature the same 12-megapixel Dual Pixel rear camera with LED flash and f/1.7 aperture.

It will feature an 8-megapixel front-facing camera to be available on front with f/1.7 aperture. A 3500mAh battery with fast Charging will power the device via wired and wireless (WPC and PMA) charging options. Connectivity options expected are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS with GLONASS, USB 2.0 and NFC with a 3.5mm headphone jack. It will also have heart rate sensor, fingerprint sensor, Iris scanner and Barometer. The Galaxy S8 will be IP68 verified with water and dust resistance feature.
