Honor V8 Pro launched with 6GB RAM, 5.7-inch Quad HD display and a 4000mAh battery

Huawei’s Honor sub-division has just launched a new flagship Honor V8 Pro and an upgraded variant of the Honor 8 smartphone called Honor 8 Pro. It is priced at 474.99 GBP (around $592) for the UK and 549 Euros (around $585) for the European market. Interested users can pre-order it via vMall and will also be available for sale via Amazon from April 20th. It will be available in Navy Blue, Midnight Black and Platinum Golf colour options and also comes with Honor VR cardboard glasses.

This new smartphone comes with upgraded hardware and interesting new features including the Highlights feature that allows the users to share images better. The gallery of the phone automatically reorders the images, and videos and generates photo albums based on people, places and events. The device also comes with the GoPro Quik app to create movies with advanced editing tools.

Honor V8 Pro specs

The Honor V8 Pro comes with a 5.7-inch Quad HD LTPS 2.5D curved glass display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution and 515 PPI. It is powered by an octa-core Kirin 960 processor having 4 x Cortex A53 (1.8GHz) + 4 x ARTEMIS (2.4GHz) and also comes with a Mali G71 Octa-core GPU. It features 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage capacity that is expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card slot. It runs on the Android 7.0 (Nougat) OS with Emotion UI 5.1 on top and also supports a Hybrid Dual SIM option with nano SIM + nano SIM or Nano SIM+ microSD option.

It features a dual rear camera with a 12-megapixel monochrome lens and another 12-megapixel RGB lens along with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, and 4k video recording and we also have an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It is backed up by a 4000mAh battery with fast charging and connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C port.
