Gionee launches M6S Plus 6GB RAM, Snapdragon 653 processor and a 6020mAh battery

Gionee has finally launched the new Gionee M6S Plus smartphone which is the successor to last year’s Gionee M6 Plus. The Gionee M6S Plus was previously spotted listed at Chinese TENAA with all the specifications listed along with the images of the device. The M6S Plus will be available in China priced at 3499 yuan (around $508) for the 64GB internal storage variant while it costs 4299 yuan (around $625) for the 256GB internal storage option.

It will be offered an Ink Black colour option in China and it is currently up for pre-order in the country via the official Gionee website the device will go on sale starting next month. No news is available currently about its global availability and pricing.

M6S Plus specs

The Gionee M6S Plus features a 6-inch Full HD AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display with 1920× 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 653 processor (Quad 1.95GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.44GHz A53 CPUs) with Adreno 510 GPU. It comes with 6GB of LPDDR3 RAM and we have 64GB /256GB internal storage options with MicroSD card expandable storage up to 256GB. The Gionee M6S Plus runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Amigo OS 3.5 and this device also supports Dual-SIMs.

The Gionee M6S Plus features a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/1.9 aperture, 1.4μm Pixel size along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, f/2.0 aperture, 1.4um pixel size. It is backed up by a 6020mAh battery with fast charging and it comes with connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG.

The device comes with an encrypted chip that can secure the personal data of its users and also comes with EAL4 + security certification offering two-level fingerprint encryption. It measures 163.3 x 80.9 x 8.25mm and weighs 215 grams. It comes with a fingerprint sensor on the physical front home button.

Gionee is also expected to launch another flagship device Gionee S10 soon which was spotted listed at Chinese TENAA a few days back. It was listed with a 5.5-inch full-HD display with 1920 × 1080 pixels resolution, a 2.0GHz octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of inbuilt storage capacity, expandable storage with MicroSD card up to 128GB, Android 7.0 Nougat OS, Dual-SIMs, a 13-megapixel dual-rear camera.

It has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3700mAh battery, and connectivity options including 4G LTE with VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth, GPS, Type-C port, and FM Radio support. It measures 154.5 × 76 × 7.6 mm and weighs 176.6 grams. It comes with Gold and black colour options. A fingerprint scanner is available on the physical front home button.
