OnePlus is long awaited to launch its new flagship OnePlus 5that will be the successor to the OnePlus 3 and 3T smartphones launched last year. The OnePlus 5 smartphone is rumored to launch with the Snapdragon 835 processor and is expected to feature a dual rear camera that will produce amazing clear images. OnePlus 5 was also spotted listed on AnTuTu benchmark confirming the OnePlus A5000 model number and a third party retailer gearbest also listed the device. We might see the device launch in around 2 weeks from now as a teaser by OnePlus has been leaked on a weibo page that suggests that the flagship OnePlus 5 might launch on June 15. In a separate weibo post, OnePlus CEO also confirmed that the OnePlus 5 will be the slimmest OnePlus flagship.
At AnTuTu, the OnePlus 5 was spotted listed with model number OnePlus A5000 and comes with a Full-HD display having 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It is powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC with Adreno 540 GPU. It runs on the Android 7.1.1 OS out of the box and comes with 6GB of RAM with 64GB of inbuilt storage capacity. According to the AnTuTu listing, it has a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front facing camera. No other details about the device are listed at AnTuTu benchmark listing. So the device have two variants with 6GB and 8GB of RAM options with 8GB RAM variant supporting 128GB of inbuilt storage capacity.
At gearbest, the OnePlus 5 was spotted with a 5.5 inch QHD 2K display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 2.35GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor that comes with Adreno 540 GPU. It has 8GB of RAM and comes with 64GB inbuilt storage capacity that will be expandable via MicroSD card with up to 128 GB storage. It runs on the Android 7.1 Nougat OS out of the box and will also support Dual-SIMs (nano-SIM + nano-SIM). The Gearbest listing further confirmed that the OnePlus 5 will feature a 23-megapixel rear camera and will also have a 16-megapixel front facing selfie camera.
It is expected to be backed up by a 3600 mAh battery with Dash Charge 2.0. support but according to the Gearbest listing, it will have a non-removable 4000 mAh battery instead. It will support connectivity options like 4G LTE with VoLTE, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi and options. It will have sensors like Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, E-Compass, Gyroscope, Hall Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Touch Sensor and will also have a fingerprint scanner on the physical home button on front.
