Vivo X9S and X9S Plus launched

Vivo has finally launched their new selfie-focused smartphone in the Vivo X series with the names Vivo X9S and Vivo X9S Plus with both featuring dual front-facing cameras. The Vivo X9S is priced at 2698 yuan (around $397) while the Vivo X9S Plus is priced at 2998 yuan (around $441) and both are currently available on the official Vivo store in China for pre-booking.

Both the Vivo X9S and X9s Plus are listed on the official Vivo website with images and all details. No details are available when these devices will be available outside China and what will be the pricing for both devices. Both the Vivo X9S and X9S Plus were previously spotted listed by the Chinese TENAA with specifications and images. let’s now check out the specifications of both devices.

The Vivo X9S comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD AMOLED display with 400 ppi and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor with Adreno 510 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage capacity with no expandable storage slot as per the official device listing and was already confirmed by the TENAA listing of the device. It runs on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box with Funtouch OS 3.0 on top and it supports dual-SIMs as well. Colour options include Gold, Rose Gold and Matte Black.

The Vivo X9s features a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, PDAF, F2.0 aperture, autofocus, Video recording (with Slow Motion recording), HDR, Panorama, and Super Clear features. It features a dual front-facing selfie camera with a 20-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor with features such as F2.0 aperture for both sensors, front-facing flash, and HDR.

It is backed up by a 3320mAh built-in battery and connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, Wifi IEEE 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, Bluetooth 4.2, USB2.0, GPS, OTG and other options as well. It also comes with a fingerprint scanner on the front physical home button. The device comes with audio enhancement features like AK4376 HiFi audio and can run multiple MP3 files. It measures 152.6×74.2×6.99mm and weighs 155.3 grams.

The bigger Vivo X9S Plus features a bigger 5.85-inch full-HD AMOLED display with 400 ppi and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 653 (MSM8976SG) processor (4 x Cortex A72 1.95GHz + 4 x Cortex A53 1.4GHz) with Adreno 510 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage capacity with no expandable storage slot as per the official device listing and was already confirmed by the TENAA listing of the device. It runs on the Android 7.1 Nougat OS out of the box with Funtouch OS 3.0 on top and it supports dual SIMs as well. Colour options include Gold, Rose Gold and Matte Black.

The leaked images of the Vivo X9S (via TENAA) confirm a fingerprint scanner for the device on the physical home button and we have a similar design to the Vivo X9s Plus. It comes with a dual front-facing selfie camera again just like its bigger brother Vivo X9s Plus. This device also comes with a full metal unibody design.

The Vivo X9s Plus or X9S Plus L models were listed with a 5.85-inch OLED full HD display with 1920 × 1080 pixel resolution and it is powered by a 1.95GHz octa-core processor that might be one of the Snapdragon processors. It comes with 4GB of RAM and comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage capacity with no support for expandable MicroSD card storage. It runs on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box and will support Dual SIMs as well.

It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and we have a dual selfie camera with a 20-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor. A good 3920mAh battery powers the device and we also have connectivity options like 4G LTE with VoLTE, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio, and other options as well. It comes with a fingerprint scanner on the front physical home button just like its predecessors. It measures 162.59×78.84×7.25mm and weighs 183.2 grams. It comes with a Gold colour option if we check the TENAA listing of the device again.
