Oppo R11 powered by Snapdragon 835 appears on GeekBench

The Chinese tech giant OPPO is well renowned for its camera and music smartphones all over the world. Recently the company launched the OPPO R11 at an event in China this year which was one of the 1st smartphones in the world to be powered by the latest Qualcomm midrange chipset, the Snapdragon 660, based on the 14nm process and a similar KRYO CPU as present on the Snapdragon 835, which claims to deliver flagship level performance at a midrange price. The device also sported a rear dual camera setup and AMOLED Full HD display with a design similar to the Oneplus 5.

Today morning, another variant of the OPPO R11 also called the OPPO R11 got listed on GeekBench hinting that the OEM is very close to launching an upgraded version of the device.

According to GeekBench listing the device is said to be powered by the latest Qualcomm flagship mobile processor, the Snapdragon 835 clocked at 1.90GHz, which is present on devices like the OnePlus 5, and Xiaomi Mi6 and leaves no doubt in proving its capabilities in terms of efficient performance.

Apart from the processor, the device is said to come with 6GB of RAM which is a 50% bump up when compared to its predecessor. In terms of the screen, OPPO may this time bump up the resolution to QHD or may again ship with a Full HD AMOLED panel like its predecessor. The handset is also said to come with the latest Android 7.1.2 preloaded out of the box with their custom skinned Color OS on top of it.

Since its predecessor boasts a Dual 20+16MP rear camera setup with a 20MP front camera, it can be speculated that the upgraded version may come with the same setup or even something better. The device will come with a 3000+mAh(though not confirmed) powered by the VOOC Flash Charge Support.  Talking about the launch date there is no solid word about that.

Since the OPPO R11 was priced at 2999Yuan(Approx. 28400 INR) it can be easily predicted that this time OPPO will increase the price to 3500+Yuan( Approx. 33000INR ) which will make it a capable competitor to the midrange kings like the OnePlus 5 and the Honor 8 Pro.
