LG V30’s rear Dual cameras to have a F1.6 aperture lens, LG V30 Plus also tipped to launch on August 31st

LG is going to launch its new V series smartphones LG V30 and LG V30 Plus on August 31st in Berlin, Germany and has already announced its event via a Facebook post. We have several rumours and leaks already available for the device to discuss. One of the latest leaks about the device confirms an f/1.6 aperture camera and glass lens inside the dual camera of the V30. The f/1.6 aperture is the world’s largest and clearest aperture lens ever made and will give a DSLR camera-like feeling for the images taken with this lens.

The rear dual camera module will also feature laser detection AF, optical image stabilization and electronic image stabilization features and will be 30% smaller than the LG V20 camera module. According to LG, a glass Crystal Clear Lens will have a greater ability to collect light than a basic plastic lens usually used in most phones these days.

LG V30 and LG V30 Plus specs

The LG V30 will feature a 6-inch QHD+ OLED FullVision display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, narrow bezels and 1440 × 2880 pixels resolution and there won’t be any secondary display available. It will be powered by the 64-bit Snapdragon 835 (MSM8998) processor that also comes with the Adreno 540 GPU. It will have 4 GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage capacity that will also be expandable via microSD card.

The device is rumoured to carry a 3200mAh battery and will have a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel as we saw in its predecessors. It will carry a dual rear camera with 16-megapixel and 13-megapixel lenses. Other details about the device like its battery and others will be available in the upcoming days.

LG is also rumoured to launch a Plus variant of the LG V30 rumoured to be launched as LG V30 Plus according to a leak from Korean media. The LG V30+ will have more storage with 128GB capacity and will also have wireless charging and other features. The LG V30+ will have 6GB of RAM and both will be IP68 certified making them waterproof and dustproof.

The V30+ will carry a bigger battery of 3500mAh according to Korean media reports. The Korean media has also confirmed that the LG V30 and V30+ will be available for sale in Korea starting September 15th. According to the leak, the LG V30 will carry a price tag of around 800 thousand Korean won (around $700) while the bigger variant LG V30+ will carry a price tag of around 1 million Korean won (around $875).

To recall, the LG V20 was announced last year with a 5.7-inch Quad-HD IPS Quantum display with 2560×1440 pixels resolution, a secondary 2.1-inch IPS Quantum Display with 160 x 1040 pixels resolution, a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 64GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage capacity, microSD card expandable storage up to 2TB, Android 7.0 (Nougat) OS.

It has a dual rear camera with 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel lenses with OIS 2.0, F1.8 aperture, dual-tone LED Flash, Laser AF, PDAF, CAF, 75-degree lens and 4K video recording features, a front-facing 5-megapixel camera with f/1.9 aperture and 120-degree wide-angle lens, a 3200mAh removable battery with quick charge 3.0 feature, 4G LTE, USB Type-C port and other connectivity options and a fingerprint scanner on the rear side.
