China Telecom reveals Oppo A79 price and new HD render, November 30 launch confirmed

Oppo is all set to launch a new smartphone Oppo A79 with a full-screen display in China via the carrier China Telecom the carrier has listed the device on their website with a new HD render of the device and has also shared the launch date of the device in the listing. According to the China Telecom listing of the Oppo A79, the Oppo A79 will be priced at 2399 yuan (around $362) and it will be available for sale starting November 30th in the home country China.

The Oppo A79 comes with a full-screen display and the device was also spotted listed by Chinese TENAA with full specifications and images. There are no details available of its global availability and pricing details.

The listing confirms the device specifications once again, it comes with a 6.01-inch full-HD+ display with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution and a high screen-to-body ratio. It will be powered by a Mediatek MT6763T Helio X23 octa-core processor and will have 4GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage capacity with up to 128GB of expandable MicroSD card storage slot. It runs on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box but the listing still lists it with the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. It is expected to come with Dual SIM support and it might be a Hybrid SIM slot instead.

It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera as well. It is backed up by a 2900mAh battery and supports multiple connectivity options like 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, Bluetooth, Micro USB 2.0HS, 3.5mm Audio jack, WiFi, GPS and others. It will be available in Black, Blue and Gold colour options. A fingerprint scanner is available on the rear side that looks similar to the one available with the Oppo R11S smartphone launched recently in China.

The TENAA listing of the device has recently confirmed that the Oppo A79 will have a 6.01-inch full-HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by the MediaTek MT6763T Helio X23 chipset and has 4GB of RAM available. The device comes with 64 GB of internal storage capacity with up to 128GB MicroSD card expandable storage slot. It runs on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box and supports Hybrid Dual SIM slots.

It features a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. It is powered by a 2,900mAh battery as we saw with the China Telecom listing above. Let’s see when the company will launch it in China and at what price. Stay tuned.
