Samsung Galaxy A5 2018 (SM-A530X) gets FCC approval

Samsung has recently got FCC approval for the Galaxy J5 Prime 2018 that comes with model number SM-G571F/DS and we have already seen the FCC approvals of the two more Galaxy A series devices Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 and Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) getting FCC approval. Now another Galaxy A series device Galaxy A5 2018 has received the FCC approval in the US that comes with the model number SM-A530X and as usual, the FCC documents doesn’t list any key specifications of the device and there are also no images of the device available in the FCC documents. As the Galaxy A5 2018 has received the FCC approval, we can expect an imminent launch of the device in the upcoming days.

The FCC approval documents for the Galaxy A5 2018 confirms that it will have 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, WiFi, GPS and other connectivity options but no other details about the device are currently available in the FCC approval documents of the device. According to the rumors, the Galaxy A5 2018 will feature an infinity curved edges display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It will run out of the box on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. Just like the Galaxy S8 and S8+, the fingerprint scanner on this device will also be available on the back. Geekbench listing has recently revealed that the Galaxy A5 2018 will be powered by a 14nm 1.59 GHz octa-core Exynos 7885 processor with a Mali-G71 GPU and will come with 6GB of RAM.

The bigger Galaxy A7 2018 is also expected to launch soon as it also has received the FCC approval recently. It will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box and will be powered by 1.59 GHz octa-core processor along with 6GB of RAM. The device has scored 1490 points in single-core test and 4172 points in multi-core test. No other details about the device are available in Geekbench test. GFXBench benchmark listing reveals that it will have an unusual display size 86.7-inch but it will be a 6-inch Full HD+ Infinity Display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution.

GFXBench further reveals that it is powered by a 2.1GHz Octa-Core Exynos 7885 14nm processor with Mali-G71 GPU and comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage capacity with expandable storage upto 256GB via microSD card slot. It runs on the Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) OS out of the box as we spotted at Geekbench and supports Dual SIMs. It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 16-megapixel front facing camera. It will have a fingerprint sensor and will have water and dust resistant body with IP68 ratings. The device will have 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, USB Type-C connectivity options at time of its launch.
