After MIUI loses, Xiaomi deletes “Android One vs MIUI” poll on Twitter

Android One vs MIUI? Xiaomi’s is currently the popular smartphone manufacturer providing the high-end smartphones at affordable rates. The device has recently gained so much popularity especially with its Redmi series smartphone that includes devices like the Redmi 4, 4a, Redmi 5 and recently launched Redmi 5a smartphone. Xiaomi launched their first Android One smartphone Xiaomi Mi A1 last year that was praised mostly by its users as it uses the stock Android UI instead of the MIUI that is the customized version of the Android developed by Xiaomi.

Xiaomi recently ran a poll on their Twitter account to check the popularity of their own UI called MIUI against Android One and was shocked to see people voting more for Android One rather than the MIUI. The company deleted the poll without any notice after a majority of users voted Android One as the best OS instead of the MIUI.

As it was deleted by Xiaomi, there wasn’t any evidence available if this poll actually exists or not but looks like some users have already noticed it and posted the same on the Reddit community. Even when a user asked about the poll on the official MIUI forum today in a thread, it was deleted immediately by the community moderators, but we are still able to access the thread via Google cached pages.

The deleted thread comes with the poll results from the Xiaomi’s Twitter account, and it shows that 57% of users voted Android One as the preferred OS against MIUI that got only 43% of the votes. But Xiaomi might have felt that this defeat will have a bad impact on the popularity of their homegrown MIUI OS, and they immediately removed the Twitter Poll.

This might be a signal for Xiaomi to launch more devices like Xiaomi Mi A1 as everyone likes Android One more instead of the MIUI based devices.
