Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S specifications leaked via firmware details

Xiaomi is soon going to launch the new variant of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 smartphone called Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S as the specifications details of this unannounced phone has just got leaked. This specifications leak has arrived from an XDA member that has revealed the images via the device’s firmware files. According to the XDA member, the new device is code named ‘polaris and will have high-end specifications including the latest Snapdragon 845 processor along with 8GB of RAM. It will carry 256 GB of internal storage capacity according to the leak.

In terms of design, according to the leaked renders, it seems that, finally, we will have a device that almost gets 100% screen, leaving a tiny area in the upper right area to house the internal camera. The main camera, according to rumors, would have a Sony IMX363 sensor, something that is confirmed in the firmware files. As far as the display is concerned, everything indicates that it will have an aspect ratio of 18:9 or 2:1 and its resolution will remain in FullHD+. It will be powered by a battery of 3,400mAh and will run out of the box on the Android 8.0 Oreo OS. What does that mean? That, effectively, will be compatible with Project Treble, so the problems of updates with Xiaomi are over.
