Meizu E3 launched with dual rear cameras and 6GB RAM

Chinese Meizu has launched a new smartphone in the “E” series with the name Meizu E3 that features a large display and comes with dual rear cameras along with other high-end features. The device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner just like the Sony Xperia smartphones.

It comes with Black, Champagne Gold and Blue colour options and is priced at 1799 yuan (around $284) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage variant while the 128GB inbuilt storage variant is priced at 1999 yuan (around $315). It will be available for sale in China starting from March 26 and go on sale from March 31st in the country. No details are available about its global debut.

Meizu E3 specs

The Meizu E3 features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ 18:9 2.5D curved glass LTPS In-Cell display with 83% NTSC Color Gamut and 2160 × 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 509 GPU. It comes with 6GB of LPDDR4x with 64GB / 128GB inbuilt storage options and the storage is expandable up to 128GB with microSD card. It runs on Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) with Flyme OS 6.3 out of the box and supports hybrid Dual SIMs.

It features a dual rear camera with a 12-megapixel camera with dual-tone LED flash, 1.4μm pixel size, Sony IMX362 sensor, f/1.9 aperture along with a secondary 20-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX350 sensor, f/2.6 aperture and 2.5x loss-less zoom. The device also comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It is backed up by a 3360mAh battery with mCharge fast charging that can charge the phone up to 53% in 30 minutes using a 20W charger.

It comes with a Super mBack fingerprint sensor on the right side that can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds. Connectivity options available with this device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. It measures 156.8 × 75 × 7.6mm and weighs 160 grams.
