Lenovo launches Lenovo S5, K5 and K5 Play with 5.7-inch full-screen displays

Another Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Lenovo has launched three new smartphones including Lenovo S5 in the Lenovo K series and Lenovo S series. The company has launched the Lenovo S5, Lenovo K5 and Lenovo K5 Play smartphones. All three phones come with dual rear cameras and a face unlock feature out of the box. The Lenovo S5 is available from Lenovo Shop priced at 999 yuan (around $157) for the 3GB RAM + 32GB inbuilt storage variant, 1199 yuan (around $189) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage variant and 1499 yuan ($236) for the high-end 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.

It comes with Midnight Black and Flame Red colour options. The Lenovo K5 and Lenovo K5 Play are priced at 899 yuan (around $142) and 699 yuan (around $110), respectively for China market and come with Black, Grey and Blue colour options. These are also listed by Lenovo’s online shop.

Lenovo S5 specs

The Lenovo S5 features a 5.7-inch Full HD+ 18:9 2.5D curved glass display with 2160 × 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 14nm processor with Adreno 506 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM with 32GB storage, 4GB RAM with 64GB / 128GB inbuilt storage and is expandable up to 128GB with microSD card. It runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with ZUI 3.7 on top and supports hybrid Dual SIMs.

It features dual rear cameras with a 13-megapixel (Monochrome) + 13-megapixel (RGB) camera with dual-tone LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 80.2-degree wide-angle lens. It has a 3000mAh battery and supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C connectivity options. It has a fingerprint sensor on the back. It measures 154×73.5×7.8mm and weighs 155 grams.

Lenovo K5 features a 5.7-inch HD+ 18:9 2.5D curved glass display with 1440 × 720 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 64-bit processor with Mali T860 GPU. It comes with 3GB of RAM + 32GB internal storage that is expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card. It runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) with ZUI 3.1 lite OS and supports hybrid Dual SIMs.

It features a dual rear camera with a 13-megapixel camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture. An 8-megapixel front-facing selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture is also available for selfie lovers. It has a 3000mAh battery and supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS connectivity options. It has a fingerprint sensor on the rear side. It measures 153.8 x 72.7 x 7.8mm and weighs 160 grams.

Lenovo K5 Play features a 5.7-inch HD+ 18:9 2.5D curved glass display with 1440 × 720 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 ( 4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53) 64-bit processor with Adreno 505 GPU. It comes with 2GB / 3GB of RAM with 16GB/32GB internal storage options that is expandable up to 128GB with microSD card. It runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) with ZUI 3.7 OS and supports hybrid Dual SIMs.

It features a dual rear camera with a 13-megapixel camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture. An 8-megapixel front-facing selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture is also available for selfie lovers.
