Xiaomi to announce Mi 6X on April 25
Xiaomi is currently the popular smartphone brand in many countries and in some countries it has beaten the old smartphone players that had sold smartphones for years gaining the no.1 spot. India is an example where Xiaomi beaten the Korean smartphones maker Samsung to gain the first position of popular in the country. Xiaomi has launched a bunch of new smartphone in the past and is now all set to launch yet another new smartphone and the successor to the Xiaomi Mi 5X smartphone called Mi 6X in its official event on April 25 and has released some teasers for the official event on their weibo account.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X was recently seen certified by the Chinese TENAA revealing almost all of the specifications of the device and the design details. According to the TENAA listing of the device, it will feature a 5.99-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with 2160×1080 pixels resolution and will be powered by the 2.2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 626 Mobile Platform with Adreno 506 GPU. It is expected to have 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of inbuilt storage capacity and expandable storage up to 128GB with microSD card slot. It will run on the Android 8.1 (Oreo) and will support Hybrid Dual SIMs.
It will carry a dual rear camera with a 20-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture along with a secondary 8-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture. It is also going to feature a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It comes with a 2910mAh battery and comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C connectivity options. It also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and has a fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor. It measures 158.88×75.54×7.3mm and will weight 166 grams. It will be available with Black, Rose Gold, Gold, White, Blue, Red, Pink, Gray and Silver color options. No details available about its pricing and availability for global world.
The Mi 5X was announced last year with a 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass LTPS display, 450nit brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 14nm processor with 650MHz Adreno 506 GPU, 4GB of RAM with 64GB of inbuilt storage (eMMC 5.0) capacity, up to 128GB with microSD card storage, MIUI 8 based on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat), Hybrid Dual SIM slot, a dual rear camera with a 12-megapixel rear camera having wide-angle lens, 1.25μm pixel size, f/2.2 aperture, dual-tone LED flash along with a secondary 12-megapixel camera with telephoto lens, 1.0 μm pixel size, f/2.6 aperture and PDAF, a 5-megapixe front-facing camera, a 3080mAh battery and connectivity options available were 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C, a fingerprint sensor, an Infrared sensor, audio enhancements features with a 3.5mm audio jack and a dedicated amplifier. The device measures 155.4×75.8×7.3mm and weights 165 grams.
