OPPO A3 TENAA approved with Android 8.1 and 6GB of RAM

Oppo is all set to launch the new Oppo A series smartphone Oppo A3 which has recently received approval from Chinese TENAA confirming most of the specifications and the design through the leaked images via the TENAA listing. The Oppo A3 will be the successor to the Oppo F7 smartphone launched recently in multiple markets. The new Oppo A3 has been spotted listed with two variants with models PADT00 and PADM00 with similar specifications. Let’s check out the specifications of the device in the full.

The Oppo A3 is listed by TENAA with a 6.2-inch Full HD+ 19:9 IPS display with 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 (MT6771) 12nm processor (Quad 2GHz Cortex A73 + Quad 2GHz Cortex A53 CPUs) with 800MHz ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. It comes with 4GB / 6GB RAM and 64GB / 128GB of inbuilt storage options with expandable storage up to 256GB with a microSD card slot. It runs on the ColorOS 5.0 out of the box is based on the Android 8.1 (Oreo) OS and will support hybrid dual SIMs.

It will feature a single 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and will have an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It will have a 3400mAh battery and connectivity options available will be 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and Dirac HD for audio enhancement. The device will measure 156×75.3×7.8mm and weights 159 grams. Colour options available are Red, Blue, Silver, Pink and Black colour. The device is expected to launch soon in Asian markets with China the first country to test it. No details are available about its global debut as of now.

The Oppo A3 has also been spotted listed by the GeekBench browser benchmark platform where it is listed with the PADM00 model number. It is listed with Android 8.1.0 OS out of the box and comes with 4GB of RAM. The listing further confirms that this device will have a 1.99 GHz octa-core MediaTek processor as we discussed above. The device scored 1507 points in the single-core test and 5755 points in the multi-core test. No other details about the device are listed by the Geekbench listing.
