LG K30 announced with 5.3-inch HD display and a 2,880mAh battery

LG has today announced its new smartphone LG K30 in the new LG K series comes with entry-level specifications and is available with the T-Mobile carrier in the United States currently. The device is, however, not available anywhere else and the global availability of the device is still not known. The new LG K30 comes with similar specifications to the LG X4+ that was introduced in South Korea recently. The LG K30 is priced at $225 without a contract or $9 per month with a 24-month contract from T-Mobile in the U.S. It is available only with a Black colour option currently.

The LG K30 comes with a 5.3-inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 processor with Adreno 308 GPU. It comes with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM with 32GB of internal storage capacity that is further expandable up to 2TB with a microSD card slot. It runs on the Android 7.1 (Nougat) OS with LG UX 6.0+ on top out of the box and comes with a single SIM option as only single SIM variants are usually available in the US.

It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with a 2,880mAh battery and we have a bunch of connectivity options that include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and others. It has a fingerprint sensor on the rear side as well. It measures 148.6 x 74.9 x 8.6mm and weighs 168 grams.

LG recently launched its new flagship series of devices LG G7 ThinQ and LG G7+ ThinQ. The LG G7 ThinQ and G7+ ThinQ comes with a 6.1-inch 19.5:9 FullVision Super Bright IPS Display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and 3120 x 1440 pixels resolution. Other specs of the device are octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU, LG G7 ThinQ has 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB of (UFS 3.1) inbuilt storage, the LG G7+ ThinQ has 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB of inbuilt storage (UFS 3.1), expandable storage up to 2TB with microSD card slot.

It has Android 8.0 (Oreo) with LG UX, a dual rear camera with a 16-megapixel camera with f/1.6 aperture, a 71-degree wide-angle lens along with a secondary 16-megapixel camera with a 107-degree super-wide-angle lens with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash, an 8-megapixel front camera with 80-degree wide-angle lens and f/1.9 aperture, a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and wireless charging, connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C.

Other features include a 3.5mm audio jack and comes with audio enhancement features like 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC and Boombox Speaker. It has a fingerprint sensor on the rear side and a dedicated Google Assistant button. The device is water and dust-resistant with IP68 ratings and is also MIL-STD 810G certified. It measures 153.2 x 71.9 x 7.9mm and weighs 162 grams.
