Sony Xperia XA2 Plus announced with Snapdragon 630, 6GB RAM and 3,580 mAh battery

Sony has just announced the new Sony Xperia device Sony Xperia XA2 Plus which is the larger variant of the Xperia XA2 that was announced back in January at CES 2018 along with Sony Xperia L2 and Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra. The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus features a large 6-inch display instead of a 5.5-inch display found on the regular Xperia XA2 smartphone. It also comes with the same Snapdragon 660 processor and has a bigger battery of 3580mAh than the 3300mAh one. It comes with Silver, Black, Gold and Green color options and will be available starting from late August 2018. No details were announced about its pricing and we will have more information at the time of its availability.

The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus features a 6-inch Full HD display with Image Enhance Technology, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by a 2.2 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 630 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 508 GPU. It comes with multiple variants with 4GB RAM + 32GB inbuilt storage and 6GB RAM + 64GB of inbuilt storage capacity with an option to expand the storage up to 400GB via microSD card. It runs on the Android 8.0 (Oreo) and comes with Single and Dual SIM variants.

It features a single 23-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3″ Exmos RS sensor, Hybrid Auto-Focus, 84° wide-angle f/2.0 lens and has an 8-megapixel front camera with 120° super wide-angle f/2.4 lens, 1/4″ Exmor R sensor. It has a 3,580 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and Qnovo Adaptive Charging support and comes with 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C connectivity options. It has a fingerprint sensor on the rear side and comes with additional features like High-Resolution Audio (LPCM, FLAC, ALAC, DSD), LDAC5, DSEE HX
SmartAmplifier and ClearAudio+. It measures 157 x 75 x 9.6 mm and weights 205 grams.

The Xperia XA2 was announced with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Image Enhance Technology, Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by a 2.2 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 630 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 508 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage capacity which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. It runs on the Android 8.0 (Oreo) and supports Dual SIMs. It features a 23-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3″ Exmos RS sensor, Hybrid Auto-Focus, 84° wide-angle f/2.0 lens along with an 8-megapixel front camera with 120° super wide-angle f/2.4 lens, 1/4″ Exmor R sensor. It has a 3300mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and Qnovo Adaptive Charging. It supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C and has a fingerprint scanner on the rear side. It measures 142 x 70 x 9.7 mm and weights 171 grams.
