Razer to launch Razer Phone 2 on October 10

Razer’s second-generation flagship smartphone Razer Phone 2 is expected to launch on October 10th as the company has scheduled an official event on the same day. The Razer Phone 2 was recently seen in the benchmark listing of AnTuTu benchmark leaking some of the key specifications of the device. The invite by the company comes with a phone that looks similar to the predecessor of the phone with similar buttons on the left side as the Razer Phone was having. This time, the new gaming sensation Razer Phone 2 will be an excellent upgrade to the last year’s Razer Phone. We have to wait for more days to have some more information about this device and its design. Let’s check out the rumored specifications of the device next.

As per the Razer Phone 2’s AnTuTu listing, the phone will have a 5.7-inch QHD Sharp IGZO display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution, refresh rate of up to 120Hz and support for Qualcomm Q-Sync. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage capacity. It runs on the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU and runs out of the box on Android 8.1 Oreo OS out of the box. It has scored 283,397 points on the AnTuTu benchmark. No other details about the device were revealed by the AnTuTu, and for that, we will have to wait for more details about the device design in the upcoming device leaks and rumors.

To recall, the Razer Phone was announced with an aluminum body and comes with THX-certified USB-C audio adapter with a 24-bit DAC. It features a 5.72-inch Quad HD IGZO LCD UltraMotion display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 2560×1440 pixels resolution. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU and it comes with 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of (UFS) internal storage capacity that is further expandable up to 2TB with microSD card slot. It runs on the Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) OS out of the box and is upgradable to Android Oreo OS.

It features a dual rear camera with a 12-megapixel camera with f/1.75 wide-angle lens along with a 13-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.6 zoom lens, PDAF and a dual-tone LED flash. It also has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and comes with a fingerprint sensor as well. It comes with additional audio enhancement features such as stereo front-facing speakers, dual amplifiers and an audio adapter with THX-certified DAC. It is backed up by a 4000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ and comes with connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ GLONASS, USB Type-C and NFC. It measures 158.5 x 77.7 x 8 mm and weighs 197 grams.
