Razer Phone 2 announced with 8GB RAM, Snapdragon 845 and Dual rear cameras

Razer has finally launched the new Razer Phone 2 in an official event with exciting new specifications and new features. The device is the successor to the last year’s Razer Phone and it comes with dual camera setup on the rear side and comes with 8GB RAM with Snapdragon 845 processor making it a gaming beast. It comes with Mirror and Satin colour options and is priced at $799 for the Mirror version while the Satin version of the phone will be available later. It is available for pre-order in the US, Canada, UK and Europe currently. It has a Quad HD 120 Hz UltraMotion display that delivers the fastest refresh rates and smooth graphics which is suitable for gaming with 645 nits making it more brighter than the predecessor.

The Razer Phone 2 features a 5.72-inch Quad HD IGZO LCD UltraMotion display with 645 nits brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 2560×1440 pixels resolution. It is powered by the 2.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 845 64-bit 10nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU and Vapor Chamber Cooling. It comes with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB of inbuilt (UFS) storage which is further expandable up to 2TB with the help of a microSD card slot. It runs on the Android 8.1 (Oreo) OS out of the box which is upgradable to Android 9.0 (Pie).

It has a dual rear camera with a 12-megapixel camera with f/1.75 wide-angle lens, OIS, Dual PDAF along with a 12MP secondary camera with f/2.6 aperture telephoto lens, Sony IMX Sensors, dual-tone LED flash. It also has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It has a 4000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ and wireless charging support. It supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS/ GLONASS, USB Type-C, NFC connectivity options and also comes with additional features such as stereo front-facing speakers with Dual amplifiers, Dolby Atmos, 24-bit DAC Audio Adapter and has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The device is water-resistant with IP67 ratings. It measures 158.5 x 78.99 x 8.5 mm.

It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU and it comes with 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of (UFS) internal storage capacity that is further expandable up to 2TB with microSD card slot. It runs on the Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) OS out of the box and is upgradable to Android Oreo OS. It features a dual rear camera with a 12-megapixel camera with f/1.75 wide-angle lens along with a 13-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.6 zoom lens, PDAF and a dual-tone LED flash. It also has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and comes with a fingerprint sensor as well. It comes with additional audio enhancement features such as stereo front-facing speakers, dual amplifiers and an audio adapter with THX-certified DAC. It is backed up by a 4000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ and comes with connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ GLONASS, USB Type-C and NFC. It measures 158.5 x 77.7 x 8 mm and weighs 197 grams.
