OnePlus 8T announced with 5G, Snapdragon 865 priced at INR 42999
OnePlus has just launched the new flagship OnePlus 8T smartphone in a virtual event in India. The new OnePlus 8T comes with 5G connectivity support, runs on the latest Snapdragon 865 SoC, has up to 12GB of RAM, a 120Hz AMOLED display, and a bigger battery size. It has a glossy glass back. It is priced at INR 42,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage variant and INR 45,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage variant.
The device is available first in India and it will be available exclusively via the Amazon India website from 16 October for Prime members in Amazon’s Great Indian Festival sale. For all customers, the device will be available for sale starting from 17 October on the Amazon website, one plus website, OnePlus Store App, and from OnePlus exclusive offline stores with Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver colour options.
The new OnePlus 8T features a 6.55-inch Full HD+ 402 PPI 20:9 Fluid AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+, 1100 nits brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass protection, and 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. It is powered by the 2.84GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 865 7nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 650 GPU, comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM + 128GB (UFS 3.1) inbuilt storage and 12GB LPDDR4X RAM + 256GB (UFS 3.1) inbuilt storage variants. It runs on the Android 11 OS with OxygenOS 11 out of the box and supports Dual SIM (nano + nano) slots.
It has a quad camera on the rear side with a 48-megapixel main camera with Sony IMX586 sensor, 0.8μm pixel size, f/1.7 aperture, OIS + EIS Hybrid stabilization, a 16-megapixel 116° ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, Sony IMX481 sensor, a 5-megapixel 3cm macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with 4K video at 60fps, 720p slow motion at 480fps and 1080p slow motion at 240fps features. It also has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with a Sony IMX471 sensor, f/2.45 aperture, and EIS features.
It has an in-display fingerprint sensor and a 4500mAh battery with Warp Charge 65 fast charging (10V/6.5A). It supports 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 axes 2X2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (L1+L5 Dual Band) + GLONASS, USB Type-C connectivity and USB Type-C audio, Dual Stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos audio features. It measures 160.7×74.1×8.4mm and weighs 188g.
