In March this year, Samsung launched their new flagships Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus with infinity displays and other top-end specifications. The company is now gearing up for the launch of their new Galaxy Note series flagship Galaxy Note 8 but now, out of no where, two new Samsung devices has just been spotted listed at Geekbench benchmark database that reveals the possible Snapdragon 840 and 845 SoCs that are still not launched by Qualcomm. By looking into the specs at Geekbench, these device are expected to be the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus but it might be too early to say that. The Galaxy Note 8 is already rumored to launch with Snapdragon 835 processor but we might see the device launching with one of these new Snapdragon 840 or 845 SoCs. We have to wait for the confirmation of that though. Samsung SM-G9600 Geekbench The new devices spotted listed at Geekbench comes with model numbers Samsung SM-G9600 and Samsung SM-G9650. The Samsung SM-G9600 is listed at Geekbench with a 1.77 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 840 (sdm840) processor and is running on the Android 7.1.2 OS out of the box. The listing further lists the device with only 4GB of RAM that is same as Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus devices. No other details about the device are listed in the Geekbench listing. The Samsung SM-G9650 is listed at Geekbench with a 1.78 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 845 (sdm845) processor and also runs on the Android 7.1.2 OS out of the box and has 4GB of RAM as well. Samsung SM-G9650 Geekbench Some rumors are saying these devices as the Mini variants of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus but we can't expect Samsung to launch the mini variants of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus with upgraded processors. The rumored specifications of the Galaxy Note 8 includes a 6.4-inch display that might be the Galaxy Note 8 Edge smartphone that we can see in the leaked images above. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor or the Exynos 8895 chipset out of the box and will have 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The device will be available with 32GB, 64GB, 128GB inbuilt storage options and will run on the Android Nougat OS out of the box with Hybrid dual SIM support. It will have the Iris scanner and will be IP68 certified for dust and water resistant. The Galaxy Note 8 will feature a dual rear camera with a 12-megapixel wide-angle CIS along with a 13-megapixel telephoto CIS lens having dual 6P lenses, dual OIS and six-element lenses features.
