HTC U11 Plus TENAA approved, November 2 launch expected with HTC U11 Life
HTC is all set to launch its new smartphones HTC U11 Plus and HTC U11 Life in the official event that is now scheduled for November 2nd. The company has started sending invites for their upcoming event via their Twitter account. The HTC U11 Plus is the bigger variant of the HTC U11 smartphone that was launched with a unique Edge sense squeeze feature in May this year, while the U11 Life will be having a smaller display.
The HTC U11 Plus also got TENAA approval in China today which revealed the images of the device. The TENAA listing for the device doesn’t have any specifications listed for the device that might be available soon.
The TENAA listing for the HTC U11 Plus comes with the model number HTC 2Q4D200 and if we check the leaked images of the device we can see the large 6-inch POLED curved display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The device comes with a fingerprint scanner on the rear side instead of the front as we saw on HTC U11.
The volume buttons and power buttons are on the right side of the device and the rear camera comes with a dual tone dual LED flash. The ‘hTC’ logo is available below the fingerprint scanner on the rear panel and the back panel also comes with curved edges.
According to the rumours, the HTC U11 Plus is going to launch with a 6-inch Quad HD POLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio making it the first bezel smartphone from HTC and it will have 1440×2880 pixels resolution. It will be powered by the 2.45GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU along with 4GB or 6GB of RAM.
The device is also expected to have 64GB and 128GB of inbuilt storage options. It is expected to have a 12-megapixel rear camera and will have a 4000mAh battery. The device will have IP68 certification for water and dust resistance as well.
The HTC U11 Life is expected to feature a 5.2-inches Full HD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and is expected to be powered by the 2.2GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 14nm Mobile processor with Adreno 508 GPU. It will have 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage options with expandable storage options via microSD card.
It will have a 2600mAh battery as per the rumours. It is expected to run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. It will feature a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera as well. The device will have a fingerprint sensor on the home button on the front it will be water resistant with IP67 ratings. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, and GPS + GLONASS.
