Xiaomi may launch its new flagship and the successor to the Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone called Xiaomi Mi 6 this year that will feature top-end specifications and will also feature a dual rear camera according to the rumors. Now, some images from the device has just been shared by a weibo user that shows the Mi 6 in Rose Gold color option and also confirms the dual rear camera along with a dual tone LED flash. The leaked images shared by the user also confirms a fingerprint scanner on the front panel below the 5.2-inch full HD display.
The leaked images also confirms the Tpe-C reversible USB port at the bottom of the device along with the two speaker grills. The Chinese O.E.M. is also expected to launch the bigger Mi 6 Plus along with the Mi 6 this year. According to the rumors, the Xiaomi Mi 6 will launch with a 5.2-inch 2.5D LCD curved glass display and is expected to launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor that will also power the Samsung Galaxy S8 Duo smartphones launching tomorrow. According to some leaks online Xiaomi may launch a Mi 6 variant with a Snapdragon 821 SoC as well.
It will have 4GB/6GB RAM options and 64GB/128GB inbuilt storage options. It will run on the Android Nougat OS based MIUI 9 and will support dual-SIMs. It will feature a 12-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX386 sensor and will have an 8-megapixel camera on front with the Sony IMX268 sensor. It will be backed up by a 3,000mAh battery and will support 4G VoLTE and other connectivity options.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus is expected to launch with a 5.7-inch full HD 2k display and will be powered by the 2.45GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC with Adreno 540 GPU. Other specifications of this device are expected to be the same as the Mi 6. As for the pricing, The Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to be priced at RMB 1,999 for the 4GB+32GB variant, RMB 2,299 for the 4GB+64GB storage variant, and RMB 2,699 for the 6GB+128GB storage variant.
