YotaPhone 3 announced with 5.5-inch front and a 5.2-inch rear E-ink displays, Comes with 4GB RAM and a 3300mAh battery

Have you heard about the YotaPhone, a Chinese smartphone brand that launched the YotaPhone 2 smartphone in 2014 featuring a dual display with one on front and the other on the rear side of the phone. In an official event in Russian embassy in China, the third generation of the Yotaphone was unveiled with the name YotaPhone 3 that again comes with a dual display. The new Yota3 or YotaPhone 3 smartphone will be available with 64GB and 128GB internal storage options and 4GB of RAM.

The pricing details of the phone weren’t announced at the launch event but according to some sources, the YotaPhone 3 will be priced at $360 for the 64GB variant while the 128GB inbuilt storage variant will cost around $465 in China and will be available for pre-orders via JD.com starting September 5th and will be available for sale starting September 18th. The device will be branded and marketed as YOTA3 in Russia and in other markets it will be launched as YotaPhone 3.

The YotaPhone 3 features a 5.5-inchSuper AMOLEDĀ Full-HD front display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and a 5.2-inch E-ink display on the rear side of the phone. It is powered by the 2.0 GHz octa-core 64 bit Snapdragon 625 (MSM8953) processor with Adreno 506 GPU and it comes with 4GB of RAM with 64GB / 128GB inbuilt storage options. It runs on the YOTA OS 3.0 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box and it supports Dual-SIMs. The YotaPhone 3 features a 12-megapixel camera with LED flash on the rear side while we have a 13-megapixel front facing camera. The device comes with a fingerprint scanner on the front panel. It is backed up by a 3300mAh battery and supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi and other connectivity options.

“China is the biggest smartphone market in the world, and we are sure that the launch of sales in China is a start for successful global expansion of the YotaPhone brand. We are satisfied with the released product and believe it its potential on the international market. I congratulate everyone involved with the completion of the first stage of the product launch. We expect that the company will be able to sell more than 1 mln devices during the first year, and this estimation does not consider other markets including Russia, where the start of the phone sales is scheduled for the end of 2017” said CEO Mr. Frank Zhang, Yota.

The Russian Ambassador H.E. Dr. Andrey Denisov said, “At the APEC summit in 2014 President Putin presented the YotaPhone to President Xi Jinping as a symbol of friendship and cooperation between our countries. We are delighted that this project, which was supported by our leaders, is continued and now the new generation of the phone developed under the joint efforts symbolizes joint work, friendship and development”.
