HMD Global schedules February 25 MWC 2018 event, Nokia 9 and Nokia 1 expected
Finally the day have come when the Finland based company HMD Global will announced the new Nokia smartphones in their official event on February 25th in Barcelona just before the MWC 2018 event start. The company has started sending the official event invites for the event just before MWC and we can expect a number of devices in the event. Even the Chief Product Officer, HMD Global has tweeted,” Sorry for radio silence. Been super busy planning #MWC2018 . Please expect it to be awesome.” that confirms that the company is going to announce something big at the event and most probably we might see the launch of the flagship Nokia 9 along with the other devices like, Nokia 1 that will be the Android Oreo Go variant, Nokia 4, Nokia 3310 4G feature phone, Nokia 7 Plus and the global variant of the Nokia 7 as well.

As for the Nokia 9, the device was recently approved by US FCC confirming most of the rumored specifications. The device, according to FCC, will carry the model number TA-1047 and will feature a 5.5-inch OLED Quad HD display with 530-nits brightness and 2560×1440 pixels resolution. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 or by the newly launched Snapdraon 845 processor. It will carry 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage capacity. It will run on the Android 8.0 Oreo OS out of the box and will support Dual-SIMs. The device will feature a dual rear camera with 12-megapixel + 13-megapixel camera setup for portrait shots and will also carry a 5-megapixel camera or a 8-megapixel one. The device will be backed up by a 3250mAh battery with support for fast charging. We can expect a price tag of around $500.
The Nokia 1 Android Oreo Go edition is expected to be an entry-level smartphone that will feature a HD display which might be a 5-inches display and it will be powered by a dual core processor. It will have 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage capacity that will be expandable via MicroSD card slot. It will run on the Android Oreo (Android Go) edition that is based on Android 8.1 and will support Dual-SIMs. We can expect a 2500mAh battery at least for this device and it will carry the connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, 3G, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and others. According to the rumors coming from China, the Nokia 1 might be priced around 69-75 Euros.
