LG WING announced with OLED Swivel display and Snapdragon 765G processor

LG has announced a new unique tech, the LG WING smartphone that a user can swivel up to utilize both screens where the front display of the phone rotates clockwise 90 degrees for more activity like video shooting, etc, and swivels down whenever they wish to go back to using their phone in Basic Mode. It has a dual display with a secondary 3.9-inch hidden screen that unlocks new usability and new possibilities enabling a single application to be expanded to both screens or two applications that can be displayed simultaneously, one on each display.

LG WING Specs

The LG WING will initially launch in South Korea starting next month followed by other key markets in North America and Europe. It has a 6.8-inch Full HD+ 20.5: 9 aspect ratio P-OLED display with 2440 × 1080 pixels display and a secondary 3.9-inch 1.15:1 G-OLED second screen with 1240 x 1080 pixels resolution.

It is powered by an Octa-Core (1 x 2.4GHz + 1 x 2.2GHz + 6 x 1.8GHz Kryo 475 CPUs) Snapdragon 765G 7nm EUV Mobile Platform with Adreno 620 GPU. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB inbuilt storage options that is expandable up to 2TB with the help of a microSD card. It runs on the Android 10 OS out of the box.

It has a triple rear camera with a 64-megapixel main camera with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, OIS, a 13-megapixel 117° ultra-wide lens with f/1.9 aperture, a 12-megapixel 120° ultra-wide Gimbal mode camera with f/2.2 aperture. It also has a 32-megapixel pop-up front-facing camera with an f/1.9 aperture. The device has a 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0+ 25W fast charging, and 10w wireless charging and comes with 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, USB Type-C connectivity options.

It has an in-display fingerprint sensor and comes with USB Type-C audio. It also has additional features such as MIL-STD 810G compliance, and water and dust resistance with IP54 ratings. It measures 169.5 x 74.5 x 10.9 mm and weighs 260g.
