Samsung Galaxy M02 debuts with 5000mAh battery

A few days after launching the new Galaxy A02 2021 smartphone last month, Samsung has now launched the new M series device Samsung Galaxy M02 which comes with a budget price tag and decent specifications for a budgeted smartphone. Look-wise, the new Galaxy M02 reflects the Galaxy A02 and features similar specifications including a 5000mAh battery.

The Galaxy M02 is launched for the Indian market where it is priced at Rs. 6999 for the 2GB RAM + 32GB internal storage variant while the 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage variant is priced at just Rs. 7499. Additionally, the company will offer the device at just Rs. 6799 via the Amazon India website, Samsung India website and offline retailers starting from February 9th. It will be available in Blue, Red, Gray and Black colour options.

Galaxy M02 Specs

The new Samsung Galaxy M02 features a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD infinity-V display with 270 PPI density and 1560 × 720 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6739 64-bit processor with PowerVR Rogue GE8100 GPU. The device comes with multiple variants like 2GB /3GB RAM + 32GB inbuilt storage. The device supports expandable storage of up to 1TB with the help of a microSD card slot. It runs on the Android 10 OS-based Samsung One UI 2.0 on top and is expected to get the new Android 11-based One UI soon. It also supports Dual SIMs (nano + nano + microSD).

It has a dual rear camera with a 13-megapixel main camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture. It also has a 5-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The device has a 5,000 mAh battery with 7.75W charging support. It comes with connectivity options such as Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, MicroUSB 2.0, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack and audio feature Dolby Atmos. It measures 164.0 x 75.9x 9.1mm and weighs 206 grams.
