Nubia Z17 launched with Snapdragon 835, 8GB of RAM and 12MP+23MP dual rear cameras
After launching the Nubia Z17 Mini smartphone in April this year, the ZTE’s company Nubia has just launched the flagship Nubia Z17 smartphone that comes with the latest Qualcomm chip set with whopping 8GB of RAM and other flagship series specifications. The Nubia Z17 features a metal unibody design and also comes with a fingerprint scanner on the rear side. The Nubia Z17 with 6GB RAM + 64GB of inbuilt storage option is priced at 2799 yuan (around $411), 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage option is priced at 3399 yuan (around $500) while the high end 8GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage option is also priced at the same 3399 yuan (around $500) just like the 6GB RAM option. The pre-order of the device will start today via the official website and the official sales of the device will start in China starting from June 6th. No details available about its global debut as of now.
The Nubia Z17 features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 450 nits brightness, 96% NTSC color gamut, Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 1920×1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 2.45GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 64-bit 10nm processor with Adreno 540 GPU. It comes with 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM with 128GB (UFS 2.1) storage, 6GB LPDDR4 RAM with 64GB / 128GB (UFS 2.1) internal storage and support for MicroSD card expandable storage. It runs on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS based Nubia UI 5.0 and it also supports hybrid Dual-SIMs. It is a water resistant device.
It features a dual rear camera with 12-megapixel and 23-megapixel cameras with 1.4μm pixel size, f/1.8 aperture / f/2.0 aperture, 1/2.55″ CMOS sensor, dual-tone LED flash. A 16-megapixel front-facing camera is also available with NeoVision 7.0, f/2.0 aperture and a 80-degree wide-angle lens. It is backed up by a 3200mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging. It comes with 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, USB Type-C connectivity options. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the rear side along with infrared sensor and it has stereo speakers. It measures 152.60×72.38×7.6 mm and weights 173 grams.
To recall, the Nubia Z17 Mini was launched with a 5.2-inch Full-HD 2.5D curved glass display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, octa-core Snapdragon 652 / 653 processors that comes with Adreno 510 GPU, 4GB / 6GB of RAM, 64GB inbuilt storage, expandable storage up to 200GB with microSD card, Nubia UI 4.0 that is based on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS, Hybrid Dual-SIMs, a dual camera with 13-megapixel monochrome lens and a 13-megapixel RGB lens on the rear side with Sony IMX258 sensor, f/2.2 aperture, OIS and 4K video recording, a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 80-degree wide-angle lens, a 2950mAh battery with fast charging feature, connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS, NFC and USB Type-C port. It measures 146.65 × 72.5 × 7.45mm and weights 155 grams. It comes with a fingerprint sensor on the rear side of the device for enhanced security.
