Nokia 6 2018 Launched, Price and Specifications
After leaked images and TENAA approval, Nokia finally launched the 2018 variant of the Nokia 6 smartphone in an official event in China called Nokia 6 2018 which comes with upgraded features and design from its predecessor. It comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner instead of the front one available with the 2017 variant that had the fingerprint scanner on the front.
This devide comes with a metal body design but it doesn’t have a full-screen display as rumoured. It still runs on the Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) OS but the good thing is that it is upgradable to the Android 8.0 (Oreo) OS that might be rolled out soon.

Nokia 6 2018 Price
It is priced at 1499 yuan (around $230) for the 32GB inbuilt storage options while the 64GB inbuilt storage variant is priced at 1699 yuan (around $262) and it will be available in Black and Silver colour options. Interested users in China can pre-order it via Suning and will be available for sale starting January 10th in China. No details are available about its global rollout yet. It might be launched as the Nokia 8 (2018) or with the Nokia 6 2nd generation in the global markets soon.
Nokia 6 2018 Specs
This 2018 device or Nokia 6 2nd generation features a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 2.2 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 630 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 508 GPU and comes with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM with 32GB / 64GB (eMMC 5.1) internal storage options with both supporting expandable storage up to 128GB with the help of a microSD card slot. It runs on the Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) OS out of the box which is upgradable to Android 8.0 (Oreo) and the device supports Hybrid Dual SIMs support (nano + nano / microSD).
It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, 1.0um pixel size, f/2.0 aperture along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with 1.12-pixel size, f/2.0 aperture, 84° wide-angle lens. It is backed up by a 3000mAh built-in battery this time with fast charging support. It comes with a fingerprint sensor on the rear side and supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5, GPS, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio support. It measures 148.8 × 75.8 × 8.15-8.6mm and weighs 172 grams.
Nokia 6 2018 TENAA
The new Nokia 6 2018 has also received the TENAA approval in China revealing the alleged images of the new phone before its launch. The Nokia 6 was having a fingerprint scanner on the front panel as we already know, but according to the TENAA listing, the new Nokia 6 2018 will have a fingerprint scanner on the rear side instead of the front. The device is listed with the model number TA-1054 at TENAA and has a different design on the back panel as well.
The TENAA listing revealed that the new Nokia device has a rear camera with an LED flash on the rear side followed by the fingerprint scanner below the LED flash. it has a bigger display with minimal bezels and a possible 18:9 aspect ratio. There are no capacitive touch buttons available below the display on the front as the fingerprint scanner is moved to the rear side. The TENAA listing, however, doesn’t have any specifications of the device listed that might be out soon.
