Huawei not only launched the new P20 and P20 Pro smartphones but also launched the new Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS smartphone at the official event. The Huawei Porsche Design Mate RS is priced at 1695 Euros (around $2,100) with 6GB RAM + 256GB inbuilt storage and 2095 Euros (around $2,597) for the 6GB RAM + 512GB internal storage variant. It comes with Black color options and will be available for sale starting 12th April. THis is the first smartphone to feature 512of inbuilt storage capacity. Another highlight of the device is its under display fingerprint reader and to use it, you have to hover your finger over it to wake the phone and touch the screen to unlock it. Another fingerprint scanner is also available on the back.
The Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS features a 6.0-inch Quad HD+ 18:9 OLED display with 538 ppi, 83.93% Screen-to-body ratio, 90000:1 contrast ratio and 2880 x 1440 pixels resolution. It is powered by an Octa-Core Huawei Kirin 970 (4 x 2.4 GHz A73+ 4 x 1.8 GHz A53) 10nm processor + i7 co-processor,Mali-G72 MP12 GPU and NPU. It comes with 6GB of RAM with 256GB/512GB of internal storage options. It runs on the Android 8.1 with EMUI 8.1 on top and supports Dual SIMs. It features a triple rear camera with 40-megapixel (RGB, f/1.8 aperture) + 20-megapixel (Monochrome, f/1.6 aperture) + 8-megapixel (Telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture) cameras with Leica lenses,5x Hybrid Zoom, dual-tone LED flash, laser focus, deep focus, PDAF, CAF, 960fps super slo-mo.
It also has a 24-megapixel front-facing camera with AI beautification and 3D portrait lighting. It comes with a 4000mAh battery with fast chraging and Qi wireless charging and comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and rear fingerprint sensor. It is water and dust resistant with IP67 ratings. It comes with dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS Glonass, NFC, USB Type-C connectivity options. It measures 152.9 x 72.5 mm x 8.5 mm and weights 183 grams. No details available when it will be available globally with the other Huawei P20 series devices.
