HTC U launching next month with Sense 9 and touch-sensitive frame
HTC’s upcoming flagship and the successor to the HTC 10 is going to launch next month according to the leakster @evleaks. The device code-named HTC Ocean is expected to launch as HTC U next month and will feature all the flagship features the leakster revealed last year by leaking the official concept video of the HTC Ocean via his Twitter account. HTC has already launched the two devices in the HTC U family called HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play that also comes with flagship specifications. According to the leaked videos posted by @evleaks in the past, the new HTC U will feature a dual rear camera and will also have Sense 9 and touch-sensitive frame as we saw in the leaked video.

According to Evan Blass, the HTC U will feature a 5.5-inch WQHD display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution and will run out of the box on Android Nougat 7.1 OS. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU. The device will feature Edge Sense feature where the frame-embedded sensors enable the user to control numerous, customizable actions with gestures such as squeezing or swiping along its left and right sides. The HTC U will have a 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 sensor at the rear panel and a 16-megapixel Sony IMX351 sensor on the front panel. It will have 64GB or 128GB inbuilt storage capacity and will also feature expandable storage option with a microSD card.
The Taiwan company launched their latest flagship HTC U Ultra in January with a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super LCD 5 display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution, Gorilla Glass 5 protection. A 2.0-inch secondary display is also available with 160 x 1040 pixels resolution, 520 PPI and Super LCD 5 features. It gets powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 64-bit processor (2×2.15 GHz Kryo and 2×1.6 GHz Kryo) that comes with Adreno 530 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM with 64GB/128GB internal storage options + MicroSD card expandable storage up to 2TB. It runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box with HTC Sense UI on top and also supports hybrid dual SIM.
It features a 12-megapixel (UltraPixel 2) rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, 1.55um pixels, f/1.8 aperture, Laser AF, OIS, 4K video recording and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and UltraPixel mode.A 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 feature backs up the device and connectivity options available are 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS with GLONASS, NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C. It also comes with HTC USonic, HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition and 3D audio recording with 4 microphones. It measures 162.41 x 79.79 x 3.6-7.99 mm and weights 161 grams.
