After getting leaked by China Telecom and TENAA, Huawei’s Honor brand has launched the new flagship with the name Honor 9 Lite or Honor 9 Youth edition in China in an official event today. The new Honor 9 Lite or Honor 9 Youth Edition is priced at CNY1199 (around $182) for the 3GB RAM + 32 GB inbuilt storage variant, CNY1499 (around $227) for the 4GB RAM + 32GB inbuilt storage variant, while the 4GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage variant is priced at CNY1799 (around $273). The device comes with Navy Blue, Seagull Gray, Magic Nightfall (read Black) and Pearl White color options and is currently available for pre-orders via vmall in China and will be available for sale in China starting December 26th. It will also be available in other countries like India, Russia and UK soon as per Honor.
The Honor 9 Lite features a 5.65-inch fullHD+ 2.5D IPS curved glass display with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution, 428ppi and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 (4 * 2.36GHz + 4 * 1.7GHz) processor that also comes with the Mali T830-MP2 GPU. It comes with multiple variants as we discussed above with 3GB and 4GB of RAM and 32GB and 64GB of inbuilt storage options. It also support addition storage slot with up to 256GB of storage with MicroSD card slot. It runs on the Android 8.0 OS out of the box with Huawei EMUI 8.0 on top and supports Hybrid Dual SIMs.
It features a dual rear camera having 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel cameras with LED flash, PDAF, HDR, digital zoom and full HD video recording. It also has a dual camera on front having 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel cameras. It is backed up by a built-in 3000mAh battery with Super Charge fast charging and connectivity options available are 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 2.4G 802.11 b / g / n, USB2.0, GPS, Beidou, Glonass, OTG and others. It measures 151×71.9×7.6 mm and weights 149 grams. A fingerprint scanner is available on the rear side of the device and it also comes with Gravity sensor, Light sensor, Distance sensor and Compass support as well.
