Chinese smartphone maker Motorola has launched a new foldable smartphone Moto Razr 2022 at an official event in China. This foldable tech comes with flagship specifications and is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
The Moto Razr 2022 is priced at CNY 5,999 (US$890) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, CNY 6,499 (US$964) for the 8GB RAM+256GB storage variant and CNY 7299 (US$1083) for the 12GB RAM+512GB storage option. The device is already on sale in the home country of China. A global launch is also expected by the company soon in the coming weeks.

The Moto Razr 2022 features a 6.7-inches FHD+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 2400×1080 pixels resolution, 10-bit colour, HDR10+, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and a 20:9 screen ratio. The device also has a secondary display with a 2.7 inches 4:3 screen ratio AMOLED screen with 800×573 pixels resolution.
It is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Octa-core (1 x 3.19 GHz Cortex-X2 & 3 x 2.75 GHz Cortex-A710 & 4 x 1.80 GHz Cortex-A510) processor with Adreno 730. It comes with different variants with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 UFS 3.1 of RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB of inbuilt storage. It runs on the MYUI 4.0 based on Android 12.0 OS out of the box.
It comes with a dual rear camera with a 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.88 aperture, an OV50A sensor, OIS, and a 13megapixel macro/wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and 121-degree viewing angle. It also has a 32-megapixel front camera with an f/2.45 aperture.
It has a 3500mAh battery with 33W Type-C fast charging support and connectivity options available are 5G/4G LTE, Dual Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi 6e, NFC, GPS, and GLONASS with other features like stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, RichTap, Motorola Ready 3.5 and 3mic support. It measures 166.99×79.79×7.62 mm and weighs 200 grams.
