The Galaxy J3 2017 is listed at TENAA with two model numbers SM-J3300 and SM-J3308 with both featuring identical specifications and design. The TENAA listing for both comes with images of the device as well. A fingerprint scanner is available on the front facing physical home button. The Samsung Galaxy J3 2017 is listed at TENAA with a 5-inch HD TFT display with 720 × 1280 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor that is expected to be Exynos processor. It comes with 3GB of RAM and has 32GB inbuilt storage capacity and comes with MicroSD card expandable storage slot with up to 256GB storage capacity. It runs on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box and is expected to support Dual-SIMs as well. It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and has a 5-megapixel front facing camera as well. It is backed up by a 2600mAh battery and comes with 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi connectivity options.

It is backed up by a 3300mAh battery and connectivity options includes 4G LTE with VoLTE, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth and other connectivity options as well. It measures 151.5×76.4×8.6mm and weights 170 grams.
