Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5A gets TENAA approval, Confirms specs and leaks images
Xiaomi is all set to launch two of its new Redmi series devices called Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5A in China as the both of the devices has just got the TENAA approval in China today with model numbers MDE6S and MDE6 respectively. If we check, one of them comes with a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel and the other one doesn’t have any fingerprint scanner on the rear and on front, which confirms that the fingerprint variant will be the Redmi Note 5 device while the other will be Redmi Note 5A. The TENAA listings have leaked out the specifications of the device with tow different model numbers and has also leaked out the images of the device.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 specs sheet was already leaked a few days back via weibo use post. The specs on TENAA for both model numbers are identical but have a difference of the fingerprint scanner. The Xiaomi MDE6S has a fingerprint scanner on the rear side while the MDE6 variant doesn’t have it.
The TENAA listing for the Xiaomi Redmi note 5 with model number MDE6S confirms a 5.5-inch HD display with 1280 × 720 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor expected to be the Snapdragon 630 SoC. It comes with 3GB of RAM and has 32GB of internal storage capacity with expandable storage up to 128GB with the help of a MicroSD card. It runs on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box and will support Hybrid dual SIMs. It is powered by a 16-megapixel LED flash camera and a 13-megapixel front facing camera. It is backed up by a 3000mAh battery and connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and others. A fingerprint scanner is available on the rear side. It measures 153.1 x 76.3 x 7.3 mm and weights 150 grams. It comes with Black, rose gold, gold, white and gray color options.
The TENAA listing for the Xiaomi Redmi note 5A with model number MDE6 comes with the same 5.5-inch HD display with 1280 × 720 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor expected to be the Snapdragon 425 SoC. It comes with 2GB of RAM and has 16GB of internal storage capacity with expandable storage up to 128GB with the help of a MicroSD card. It runs on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box and will support Hybrid dual SIMs. It is powered by a 13-megapixel LED flash camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera.It is backed up by a 3000mAh battery and connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and others. It measures 153.3 × 76.3 × 7.31 mm and weights 150.23 grams. It comes with Black, rose gold, gold, white, blue, red, pink and gray color options.
