Finland-based HMD Global, the company behind the new Android-powered Nokia smartphones is all set to launch a new Android-powered smartphone Nokia X5 at an official event on July 11th as the company has started sending the invites for its event in China via their official web account. The company’s multiple teaser confirms that the Nokia X5 will be launched at the event. The Nokia X5 has recently been seen getting TENAA approval in China leaking out the specifications and images of the device.
The device was also leaked in renders via a Chinese website Baidu that matches the device that got the TENAA approval with model number TA-1109. The TENAA listing has confirmed that the new Nokia X5 will have a dual rear camera like the Nokia X6 and comes with multiple storage and RAM options. It will have the latest Android 8.1 OS and will also get the Android P update whenever available along with the other Nokia devices. it will be available in Black, Blue and White colour options per rumours.
Nokia X5 specs
The Nokia X5 was spotted at TENAA with the model number TA-1109 and features a 5.86-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass 19:9 aspect ratio display with 720×1520 pixels resolution. It is powered by the 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon processor and comes with 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB / 6GB RAM with 64GB internal storage option with all variants supporting expandable storage up to 128GB with microSD card.
It runs on the latest Android 8.1 (Oreo) OS and is also upgradable to Android P. It supports Dual SIMs and has a fingerprint scanner on the rear side. It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, and PDAF, along with a secondary rear camera and also has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with a 3000mAh battery and supports connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack and will also have FM Radio support. It measures 149.51×71.98×8mm and weighs 160 grams.
The Nokia X6 was announced with a 5.8-inch Full HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 2280 × 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 636 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 509 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM with 32GB / 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM with 64GB internal storage option while all of the variants support expandable storage up to 256GB with microSD card. It comes with hybrid Dual SIM support and runs on the Android 8.1 (Oreo) OS out of the box.
It features a dual rear camera with a 16-megapixel (RGB) camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 1.0um. pixel size along with a 5-megapixel (Monochrome) secondary rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and 1.2um. pixel size. It also comes with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1.0um pixel size. It comes with a 3060mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging that can charge the phone from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes.
It has a fingerprint sensor on the rear side and supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, Type-C, 3.5 mm headphone jack connectivity options along with FM Radio support. It measures 47.2 x 70.98 x 7.99~8.59mm and weighs 151 grams.
