Huawei P Smart 2019 announced with Kirin 710 and AI dual rear cameras

Huawei has announced the new 2019 variant of the Huawei P Smart with the name Huawei P Smart 2019 features a dewdrop display with a 19:5:9 aspect ratio and over 90% screen-to-body ratio. It comes with dual rear AI cameras and is currently available for sale in the UK and other European countries. The price of Huawei P Smart 2019 is still not disclosed by the company but it’s expected to come with a price tag of 249 Euro (around $282).

It comes with comes in Midnight Black, Aurora Blue and Sapphire / Turquoise Blue colour options and will be available in the UK on 10 January 2019 via different retailers including Carphone Warehouse, Vodafone, Amazon, Argos, Clove, Fonehouse, JLP, Jersey Telecom, SDG, Sky Mobile, Tesco Mobile and Virgin Mobile. It will be available via EE from 11 January and on O2 and Three in mid-January.

Huawei P Smart 2019 specs

The Huawei P Smart 2019 features a 6.21-inch Full HD+ 19:5:9 2.5D curved glass display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by an octa-core Kirin 710 12nm (4 x 2.2GHz  Cortex-A73 +4 x 1.7GHz Cortex-A53) with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. It comes with 3GB of RAM with 32GB / 64GB internal storage options with expandable storage up to 512GB with a microSD card. It runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with EMUI 9.0 on top and comes with hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano / microSD) support.

It comes with a dual rear camera with a 13-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture, LED flash along with a secondary 2-megapixel rear camera. It has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and a fingerprint sensor on the rear side. It has a 3400mAh battery and comes with connectivity options such as dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, and GPS + GLONASS. It measures 155.2×73.4×8mm and weighs 160 grams. No details are currently available for its global rollout as of now.

Huawei P Smart was launched with a 5.65-inch FullHD display at 2160 x 1080 in a FullView frameless design. And also with a Dual main camera with 13 and 2 2-megapixel lenses, located in a rear that mixes a plastic and metal design. As for its technological guts, the Smart P mounted a Kirin 659 chipset – the same as other recent as the Honor 9 Lite – and the possibility to choose a model with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal space, or one of 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal space. The set is completed with a battery of 3,000 mAh and Android 8 Oreo as a custom operating system with the EMUI 8.0 layer.
