ZTE AXON 20 5G announced with an Under-display camera, Snapdragon 765G
Chinese ZTE has launched the world’s first smartphone with an under-display front-facing camera with the name ZTE AXON 20 5G today in an event in Shenzhen, China. The device also comes with an under-screen fingerprint scanner and an under-display camera on the front, it also comes with a light sensor and a screen sound unit under the 6.92-inch OLED display. The device features a gradient 3D glass back with a ten-layer structure stack design, a vacuum optical coating process, nano-level streamer texture and elegant curves.

The ZTE AXON 20 5G comes with a price tag of 2198 yuan (around $322) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage variant, 2498 yuan (around $366) for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage variant and 2798 yuan (around $410) for the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage variant. It is available in China for pre-order from today, September 1, 2020, via the e-commerce channels including Mystery, JD and small websites.
The ZTE AXON 20 5G features a 6.92-inch Full HD+ OLED 20.5:9 display, 90Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and 2460 × 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by an Octa-Core (1 x 2.4GHz + 1 x 2.2GHz + 6 x 1.8GHz Kryo 475 CPUs) Snapdragon 765G 7nm EUV Mobile Platform with Adreno 620 GPU. It comes with 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4x of RAM with 128GB (UFS 2.1) storage and 8GB LPDDR4x of RAM with 256GB (UFS 2.1) internal storage options with expandable storage with up to 2TB of MicroSD card storage. It runs on Android 10 with MiFlavor 10.5 OS out of the box and supports Dual SIM slots.
It has a quad-rear camera with a 64-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture, LED flash, an 8-megapixel 119° Ultra Wide Lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. It also has a 32-megapixel under-screen front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.
It has a 4220mAh battery with 30W fast charging, Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ support with a 5G power-saving mode that improves battery life by 35%. Connectivity options are 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, USB Type-C, and NFC. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor and USB Type-C audio with DTS:X Ultra. It measures 172.1×77.9×7.98mm and weighs 198g.
