The LG’s new flagship LG G6 was launched at MWC 2017 event in Barcelona last month and is already selling in the home country Korea by a number of online and offline retailers. But what about the United States? The company haven’t shared any details of launching the LG G6 in the US but Evan Blass thinks that the LG G6 is going to launch in the country next month on April 7th which is still a month left before we can see it in the US. The leakster Evan Blass also shared an image of the device that comes with two color options Ice Platinum and Astro Black and there is no Mystic White color option in the shared image that confirms that the company won’t be launching this color variant in the US at the time of its launch which might be disappointing for some.
The renders of the LG G6 shared by @evleaks comes with the April 7th date which is the launch date of the device in the US. The LG G6 was launched at MWC last month with premium design and features. It comes with IP68 rating making it water and dust resistant up to 1.5 meters in water for as long as 30 minutes as it also comes with the dual rear camera along with the fingerprint scanner below the rear camera module just like its predecessor that was launched last year. The LG G6 is doesn’t have the modular design that the LG G5 was having which was also not like by the critics and the customers resulting it to be a ‘big fail’ world wide.
The LG G6 was launched with features like a 5.7-inch QHD+ LCD display with 1440 × 2880 pixels resolution, a 18:9 aspect ratio and 564 ppi. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU and comes with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM along with 32GB / 64GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage capacity with support for up to 2TB expandable storage with microSD card. It runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS with LG UX 6.0 and also comes with the Google Assistant. No dual SIM option for the device is available and the customers have to use only a single SIM with it.
It features a 13-megapixel dual rear cameras with dual-tone LED Flash, OIS 2.0, 4K video recording, 71-degree-wide angle lens, secondary rear camera with 125-degree lens along with a 5-megapixel front facing selfie camera with 100-degree wide-angle lens. it is backed up by a 3300mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 feature and comes with 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C 2.0 and has a fingerprint sensor available on the rear side. It comes with IP68 rating that makes it water and dust resistant. it also comes with 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC and Dolby Vision for enhanced audio performance. It also comes with an advanced heat pipe design along with a copper plate to quickly reduce heat. It measures 148.9 x 71.9 x 7.9mm and weights 163 grams.
