Motorola’s budgeted flagships Moto G5 and G5 Plus were launched at MWC 2017 event in February and the company has already launched both the devices in Europe. Lenovo-owned Motorola launched the Moto G5 Plus last month in the Indian market and today, the company launched the smaller G5 in the country as well.

Moto G5 Price
In India, it is priced at Rs. 11,999 (around $184) and will be available starting today at midnight in the country via Amazon India e-retailer. The device will be available in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold colour options. It comes with a removable battery and removable back cover which the G5 Plus doesn’t offer.
Moto G5 Europe Price
It is up for sale in Europe and is available via three retailers priced at €199. Three Dutch retailers Mobiel, GSMwijzer, and Belsimpel are now selling the device SIM-free and with the contract. The G5 and G5 Plus were launched at MWC 2017 last month in Barcelona and are already up for pre-orders in Germany, launching in India on March 15 via retailer Flipkart, arriving in Russia next month and now it’s available in Europe. The bigger G5 Plus is however not available yet in Europe and is expected to launch next month with a price tag of around €289. For US customers, the G5 Plus will be available soon while the Moto G5 will not be available for sale.
Moto G5 specs
If we talk about the bloatware, the Moto G5 comes pre-installed with Amazon Prime, Amazon. in and Kindle apps. The device also comes with a fingerprint scanner with a physical home front button and also comes with water-repellent nano-coating. The Moto G5 features a 5.2-inch full-HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection.
It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. It has 2GB/ 3GB RAM with 32GB inbuilt storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB inbuilt storage but the 3GB RAM variant will be in India having 16GB internal storage. No news is available about the other variants’ availability. Both come with MicroSD card expandable storage up to 128 GB. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box and we have dual-SIM option.
It features a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Dual-Pixel Autofocus, Sony IMX362 sensor, f/1.7 aperture, 4K video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with OmniVision OV5695 sensor and f/2.2 aperture. It is backed up by a 3000mAh battery with turbocharging and 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS connectivity options. It measures 150.2x74x7.9 mm and weighs 155 grams. A fingerprint scanner is available on the physical home button. It comes with water-repellent nano-coating and a front-ported loudspeaker.
Moto G5 GFXBench
The Moto G5 is listed at GFXBench with a 5-inch full-HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 (Cortex A53 – ARMv8) processor that also comes with Qualcomm Adreno 505 GPU and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. At GFXBench, the Moto G5 is listed with two variants with one having 2GB RAM and the other having 3GB RAM, similar to the predecessors of these devices launched last year.
