Nubia’s Gaming phone Red Magic announced
ZTE’s Nubia division has just announced their first gaming smartphone Nubia Red Magic which isn’t as powerful as the newly launched Xiaomi Black Shark but it still comes with the Snapdragon 835 SoC and a single camera on the rear side. It has a bigger 6-inch display and it features a new vector aesthetic design with 174.5° dot-cutting and 6.85mm thickness.
It comes with new air-cooling technology with nine heat radiation air slots on the back of the phone to increase the heat transfer of the mobile phone to keep the phone cool while gaming. The Nubia Red Magic’s body is made up of triple anodized aviation-grade aluminum alloy that uses new lamination technology with three-layer graphite lamination to increase thermal diffusibility by 117%.

Nubia Red Magic Price
The Nubia Red Magic is priced at 2499 yuan (around $398) with 6GB RAM + 64GB of inbuilt storage, while the high-end 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant is priced at 2999 yuan (around $477). It is currently available for pre-order via the online Nubia store and will be available for sale in China from April 25th. The Nubia Red Magic has a dedicated gaming button that activates gaming mode by limiting the background network and comes with options to block calls, SMS and other phone functions and activates turbo acceleration technology.
Nubia Red Magic Specs
The Red Magic features a 6-inch Full HD+ 18:9 display with 85% NTSC colour gamut and 2160 × 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 2.45GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 64-bit 10nm processor with Adreno 540 GPU. It comes with 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variants. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with Nubia Red Magic OS and supports Dual SIMs.
It features a 24-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, 6P lens, dual-tone LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 76.9-degree wide-angle lens. It comes with a 3800mAh battery with fast charging support and comes with connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack, TAS2555 Amplifier, DTS audio and has a fingerprint sensor on the rear side. It measures 158.1× 74.9x 9.5~6.85mm and weighs 185 grams.
