Google Pixel 2 render leaked with dual rear camera and fingerprint scanner
Google might release the new successors to the last year’s Google Pixel and Pixel smartphones soon and the company might launch the successor to the Google Pixel as Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL as Pixel 2 XL. Now a render of the upcoming Google Pixel 2 has just been leaked by a Weibo user that confirms the dual rear camera setup along with the dual-tone LED flash and a fingerprint scanner is also available on the rear side. The leaked render also comes with the ‘G’ logo at the bottom area on the rear panel of the phone. According to some rumors, the Pixel 2 is code named ‘Walleye’ and the Pixel 2 XL is code named ‘Muskie’. The rumors also confirms a third Pixel smartphone code named ‘Taimen’.

The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are expected to be powered by the new Snapdragon 835 (MSM8998) chipset according to the rumors. Both the new Google Pixel 2 smartphones will be waterproof and dust proof. The Pixel 2 will have a more enhanced camera with low light improvements and more. There won’t be any 3.5mm headphone jacks available in the Pixel 2 smartphones. Google might launch the new Pixel smartphones with the Android O(8.0) OS out of the box and will be the first phones to run that. The prices of the both the new Pixel phones will be higher than its predecessors and the thirst Pixel phone will be a cheaper variant of the flagships.

The Pixel XL was launched with a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection and 2560×1440 pixels resolution, a 2.15 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 128GB internal storage options, Android 7.1 (Nougat) OS, a fingerprint scanner, a 12.3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Sony IMX378 sensor, 1.55um pixel, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, LDAF, an 8-megapixel front facing camera, a 3450mAh battery, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac MIMO (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C, 3 microphones and a 3.5mm audio jack options. It measures 154.7 x 75.7 x 8.6 mm and weights 168grams.
