Sony launches Xperia Ace II with 4500mAh battery and Android 11

Japanese manufacturer, Sony has just launched the new Xperia series smartphone Sony Xperia Ace II that is the successor to the Xperia Ace smartphone launched back in 2019. It comes with mid-range specifications including a MediaTek processor. This new device is priced at 22,000 yen (around $202) and will be available for sale soon in the home country Japan with Black, White and Blue colour options.

The global roll-out of the device is not yet announced by the company. This device comes with IPX5 and IPX8 ratings that make it water and dust-resistant. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well. It has an HD+18:9 aspect ratio display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. Let’s check out the other specifications of the device next.

The new Sony Xperia Ace II features a 5.5-inch HD+18:9 aspect ratio display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection and 720 x 1496 pixels resolution. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 12nm processor (ARM Cortex A53 CPU) with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage capacity that is expandable up to 512GB with a microSD card slot. It runs on the Android 11 OS out of the box and supports Dual SIMs.

It has a dual rear camera with a 13-megapixel main camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture along with a secondary 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. It also has an 8-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and supports water and dust resistance with IPX5 / IPX8 ratings. It has a 4500mAh battery with fast charging support. Connectivity options available are 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C and NFC. It measures 140 x 69 x 8.9mm and weighs 159 grams.

It also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and also comes with water-resistant (IPX5/IPX8) and dustproof (IP6X)5 ratings. It measures 157 x 68 x 8.2mm and weighs 168g.
