Vivo X21 announced, Specifications and Price

Chinese Vivo has launched a new smartphone and the successor to last year’s Vivo X20 called Vivo X21 that comes with a dual rear camera and the newest Android 8.1 Oreo OS out of the box. Like newer Chinese smartphones, the Vivo X21 also features a cut-out display.

Vivo X21 is priced at 2898 yuan (around $457) for the 6GB RAM with 64GB inbuilt storage option, 3198 yuan (around $505) for the 6GB RAM with 128GB inbuilt storage option and the premium Vivo X21 with in-display fingerprint sensor with 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage is priced at 3598 yuan (around $568). It comes with Black, Aurora White and Ruby Red colour options while the standard variant will be available from March 24th while the in-display fingerprint sensor variant will be available for sale starting March 28th.

It features a 6.28-inch Full HD+ 19:9 Super AMOLED display with 2280 × 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 14nm Mobile Platform (Quad 2.2GHz Kryo 260 + Quad 1.8GHz Kryo 260 CPUs) with Adreno 512 GPU. It comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB internal storage options that is expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card slot. It runs on the Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo) out of the box and supports hybrid Dual SIM options. It features a dual rear camera with a 12-megapixel camera with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, and a secondary 5-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture.

It also comes with a 12-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It has a 3200mAh battery with fast charging support and connectivity options available are 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and an AK4376A Hi-Fi audio chip for audio enhancement. It has a fingerprint sensor on the rear side for the standard variants while the high-end variant features an in-display fingerprint sensor. It measures 154.45 × 74.78 × 7.37mm and weighs 156.2 grams.

Vivo launched the Vivo X20 Plus last year with a 6.43-inch Full HD+ 18:9 Super AMOLED display with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 660 14nm Mobile Platform (Quad 2.2GHz Kryo 260 + Quad 1.8GHz Kryo 260 CPUs) with Adreno 512 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage capacity that is expandable further up to 256GB with a microSD card slot. It comes with Funtouch OS 3.2 based on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) out of the box and comes with Hybrid Dual SIM slots.

It features a dual rear camera with a 12-megapixel camera having LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, and OIS along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera. It also comes with a 12-megapixel front-facing camera with soft LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. It is backed up by a 3905mAh battery with fast charging support and comes with 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS connectivity options. It comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and ES9318 DAC. It measures 165.2 × 80.02 × 7.35mm and weighs 183.1 grams.
