Meizu launches Meizu M6 Note with dual rear cameras, Snapdragon 625 and a 4000mAh battery

Chinese manufacturer Meizu today launched their new Meizu M series device Meizu M6 Note in an official event in China. The company has priced the Meizu M6 Note at 1099 yuan (around $165) for the 3GB RAM + 16GB internal storage option, 1299 yuan (around $195) for the 3GB RAM + 32GB inbuilt storage option while the top-end 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage variant is priced at 1699 yuan (around $255). The device is available for pre-order in China starting today via the official Meizu store and will be available for sale starting September 2nd. No details are available about its global availability and pricing.

The Meizu M6 Note features a metal unibody design and it comes with a dual rear camera with a fingerprint scanner available on the physical home button on the front. It features a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved glass display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and a 1000: 1 contrast ratio. It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 Mobile Platform with Adreno 506 GPU and comes with 3GB /4GB of RAM with 16GB / 32GB storage / 64GB of inbuilt storage variants with all supporting expandable storage with microSD card slot. It runs on Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) with Flyme OS 6 out of the box and supports Hybrid Dual SIMs.

It features a dual rear camera with a 12-megapixel camera having dual-tone quad-LED flash,  Sony IMX362/ Samsung 2L7 sensor, f/1.9 aperture, 1.4um pixel size, 6P lens and a secondary 5-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture. A 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, and 5P lens is also available for selfie lovers. The device is backed up by a 4000mAh battery with fast charging and connectivity options available are 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz & 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS. A fingerprint sensor is available on the physical home button on the front. The device measures 154.6 x 75.2 x 8.35mm and weighs 173 grams.

Last month, the company launched the new flagship series devices Meizu PRO 7 and PRO 7 Plus with dual displays and dual rear cameras. The Pro 7 was launched with a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, a secondary 1.9-inch 307 PPI Super AMOLED display on the rear panel, a 2.5GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 processor with Mali-T880 GPU / 2.6GHz Deca-Core MediaTek Helio X30 10nm processor with Power VR 7XTP-MP4 GPU, 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 64GB of (eMMC5.1) internal storage with 128GB (UFS2.1) internal storage, Flyme OS 6 based on Android 7.0 (Nougat).

Other options are Dual SIM support, a dual rear camera with 12-megapixel dual cameras (monochrome + RGB) with dual-tone LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, 1.25um pixel size, Sony IMX386 sensors, PDAF, a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3000mAh battery with mCharge fast charging, connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C, Cirrus Logic CS43130 Smart PA amplifier and a fingerprint sensor. The device measures 147.62 x 70.72 x 7.3mm and weighs 163 grams.
