Samsung has recently launched the new Galaxy C8 and and Galaxy J7+ smartphones last month and now its the turn for the Galaxy J series. The Korean giant is going to launch the new variant of the Galaxy J2 Pro called Galaxy J2 Pro 2017 soon as the device has received the green signal from the US FCC today. The device that has got the FCC approval comes with model numbers SM-J250F/DS and SM-J250F which confirms that the Hybrid Dual SIM variant of the device is also in the works. The FCC documents doesn't list the specifications of the new Galaxy J2 Pro 2017 smartphone but has confirmed that it will feature 4G LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi IEEE 802.11b (2.4 GHz) and other connectivity options.
Apart from the above specifications details, no other details about the specifications of the device are currently revealed by the FCC approval of the device. It supports different LTE bands like LTE Band 5, LTE Band 7 and LTE Band 38 as per the FCC documents. We have to wait for its announcement to get the full specifications details or we can wait for its TENAA approval for more details about its specs and design. The predecessor of this device called Galaxy J2 Pro was launched back in July last year with features such as a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display with 1280 x 720 Pixels resolution and it is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC8830 processor with Mali-400MP2 GPU.
It comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage capacity that is further expandable up to 32GB with microSD card. It runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS out of the box and supports Dual SIMs. It features an 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture and also comes with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. It has a 2600mAh battery and supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and we also have a support of FM Radio. The device comes with Smart Glow feature and it measures 142.4 X 71.1 X 8.0 mm.
We can expect some upgradations in the new Galaxy J2 Pro 2017 variant when it gets launched. It is expected to have a bigger battery and bigger display from the Galaxy J2 Pro. Stay tuned for news and updates.
